Backflow

backflow Device

What is a backflow Device and why do I need one?

A backflow prevention device prevents hazardous substances from inadvertently being drawn into the drinking water system, contaminating it.

All backflow prevention devices must be tested once a year by an approved tester. See a List of Approved Testers(PDF, 136KB) - (updated periodically and sorted by zip codes to find one near you for your convenience. You may select any approved tester to perform the test).
